Food waste management for clinics, hospitals, care homes and residential homes. Strict hygiene, no nuisance, and food waste recycled at source: one of the two routes Article 22 provides.
Your residents are vulnerable and your reputation rests on cleanliness. A smell of bins, flies, a rat spotted: a disaster.
Our answer. The ABC composter, closed, in 2 mm steel, with continuously aerated by its aeration chimney. No odour escapes, no pest gets in. It can be installed close to residents' rooms.
Your regulatory inspections, your quality audits, your external assessments: everything has to be documented. Waste management is part of that, and it is often where the gap is.
Our answer. A log sheet supplied with the composter: date, weight and destination at each emptying. You keep the record, and we give you the emission factors and the method so your own team can calculate the saving.
Your care assistants and cleaning staff cannot take on compost management as well. No time, no training.
Our answer. A very simple sorting action, 45 minutes of training, signage provided. We look after the maintenance and the bulking material; your teams sort, and that is all.
25 residents fed all year round, meals prepared on site and trays returned. The figures below come from our calculator, using the same method as your online quote.

That is 894 kg a year. A steady volume with no seasonality, which makes sizing straightforward.

The ABC composter delivered, the bulking material delivered, maintenance, remote training and the team awareness kit. You keep the compost and use it on site.
See this offerThe same, plus the mature compost taken away: 9 removals a year for this example, handled by a local operator you contract. Nothing piles up on your site.
See this offerIn France, collection is billed at 10 € excl. VAT a month per annual visit, from 1 to 12 collections a year depending on your actual volumes; elsewhere the removal of the mature compost is arranged with a local operator of your choice, and we help you scope the brief. Healthcare and care settings produce large, steady volumes of food waste. Wherever you operate, that flow now has to be separated at source, alongside your existing hygiene obligations; the exact regime depends on your jurisdiction.
Rules differ from one jurisdiction to the next, but the direction is the same everywhere: food waste has to be separated at source and recovered, either composted on site or collected separately. Check what applies where you operate.
The rules where you operateYes. The composter is closed, installed outdoors and away from care areas. In the kitchen, the caddy is handled like any ordinary food container: emptied, washed, disinfected according to your procedures.
Aerobic composting produces no odour, and the location is chosen away from visitor routes. In several homes the compost is used in the therapeutic garden and becomes an activity in its own right.
Your own teams. They tip the caddies into the composter, and when the compost is ready they empty it into a 120 L bin: under five minutes, with no compost handled by hand. The bulking material and the maintenance are covered by the rent.
The route stays outdoors and contact-free: emptying happens in the logistics area, without entering the building.
Contract catering raises the same questions with local authorities and in hotels & resorts.
